Who can I contact?
How do you order a uniform?
GUSA uses the same Rec uniform from season-to-season and year-to-year. If you have played in the GUSA Rec program in the past, you do NOT need to order a new uniform unless you have outgrown your current uniform or have misplaced it. All NEW players to the GUSA Rec program will need to order a uniform.
U4-U8 players will order their uniform within the GUSA registration database. You will choose the registration entitled "Recreation: U4-U8 Uniform", choose a size and pay for the uniform online. These uniforms will be given to your team coach before the beginning of each season and coaches will distribute to players.
U9 and Older players will order their uniform directly from Soccer.com using the link below! You will choose your jersey number during the ordering process. The uniform will be shipped directly to you. Be sure to order your uniform ASAP once you have registered for the Rec Season.
What programs are available?
Greensboro United will offer recreational soccer programs for children ages 3 ½ to 18 during the fall and spring.
When are practices and games for U5-U18?
Practices are once a week (Monday-Friday) based on request or the team you play for. There are 8 scheduled game dates (6 Saturdays and 2 Sundays). The season is a 7 game season, and we schedule 8 games in the event of rain cancellations. If more than 1 game gets cancelled, we will reschedule them for future Sundays. If no rain cancellations occur, you get an 8th game free!
When do U4 teams play?
U4 teams have one practice/game combination on Sundays. They have a 1 hour session with introduction to soccer and a game at the end. U4 teams practice between 3-5pm on Sundays at all of our available locations.
What equipment do I need?
Check your age group on the side menu to the left of this page. You will find detailed information about your age group as well as the equipment necessary for that age group.
What age groups are offered and are they co-ed?
Greensboro United will attempt to offer age pure and gender specific divisions at each age group. Please note that some age groups may be combined to form a viable division. The decision as to whether or not to combine age groups will be made by the Recreation Director on a seasonal basis.
What locations are available?
Greensboro United teams will be able to practice at Proehlific Park, Summerfield Athletic Park, Bryan Park, Jaycee Park and other facilities around the community. Games will be played at Bryan Park, Proehlific Park, and Jaycee Park. Jaycee Park will be used for practices and games during the Spring Season only.
Please note that the Practice Location you request for your child is not guaranteed.
The GUSA Rec staff will do their best to place your child on a team in the Region you choose during the registration process.
Regions are as follows:
- Northwest Region: includes Proehlific Park, Jefferson Elementary, Kernodle Middle & Inman Rd
- Summerfield & Oak Ridge Region
- Irving Park & Jaycee Park Region
***High School Teams and some older age groups do not choose their Region***
How are teams formed?
Players who register for the Fall and Spring seasons with GUSA, will automatically return to their Fall teams in the Spring. Players who register for the Fall only, can register again and return to their same team. Players who register for the first time in the Spring, can request a team to be placed on and GUSA will try to accommodate that request. New teams will be formed on a geographical (zip code / school) basis and at the discretion of the Recreation Director.
Are special requests honored?
Special requests will be considered but CANNOT BE GUARANTEED.
